- Plans and coordinates social activities for Fairfield Glade residents
- Provides “companions” for weekly visits to home bound residents
Senior Enrichment exists to combat the loneliness and depression which can creep into the lives and homes of aging, sometimes single again, seniors. The program is free, but is not a respite service. FG residents can call 931-456-7272 for more information.
This all-volunteer program has provided in-home carefully vetted weekly visits for up to two hours. We are beginning a program of regularly scheduled short “happy chat” phone calls for those who request the visit. Our in-home visits might include playing a table game, talking about travels, listening to music or discussing a book – whatever neighbors always do. It is truly “Neighbors helping Neighbors” to maintain a quality of life for as long as possible in their home.
