FGRS Volunteer Application Packet

People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Regardless of the motivation, what unites them all is that they find it both challenging and rewarding.

Need a reason to volunteer? We have plenty!

  • Give something back to an organization that has impacted you either directly or indirectly.
  • Make a difference to the lives of others.
  • Help your neighbors.
  • Help others less fortunate.
  • Feel valued and part of a team.
  • Gain confidence and self-esteem.
  • Gain new skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Develop existing skills and knowledge.
  • Use your professional skills and knowledge to benefit others.
  • Meet new people and make new friends.
  • A chance to socialize.
  • Get to know your local community.

FGRS occasionally has the need for volunteers to help with a one-time special project or event, such as manning a table at the Village Green Mall to distribute the new FGRS phone book.  Time involved is usually a few hours.  If you are a current FGRS volunteer and would be willing to occasionally help out with a special project or event, please contact the FGRS HR Manager, Connie Sopha.
