Home Safety Assistance
Helps our neighbors in Fairfield Glade with items related to safety improvements. The goal of HSA is to allow residents to safely maintain their lifestyle in their own home by providing skills and volunteers to perform these tasks. The leadership of the HSA has over 60 years of construction experience. We have installed handrails on stairs and assisted in locating a temporary ramp. The good news is that our labor is free as the client pays for only the materials.
Music For Life
Music is recognized to help people with dementia and other chronic cognitive and physical impairment to reconnect with family and friends through personalized digital music.
The interactions within the brain structure are amazing. Some things like smells and music have a direct pathway to long buried emotionally based memories requiring no thought process to analyze. It is a direct link.
Studies are showing that listening to the music genres from individual high-school years promotes short term improvements in selected behaviors that present challenges.

Way To Go
This transportation program is based on volunteers providing rides to Fairfield Glade residents – “Neighbors Driving Neighbors”.
Our mission is to provide affordable, dependable, senior friendly volunteer transportation to Fairfield Glade residents who meet the program membership requirements.
To qualify, residents must be at least 60 years old, do not drive, or they have a medical condition that prevents them from driving.
This door to door transportation service is available for Fairfield Glade residents Monday thru Friday from 7am to 5pm. Rides such as doctors’ appointments, shopping, beauty and barber shop, banks, attorneys, accountants, and pharmacies are only $6 per round trip. At the core of the program are volunteer drivers who utilize their personal vehicles to take the riders on their scheduled rides. Volunteer drivers are Fairfield Glade residents who drive their own vehicles and have been “vetted” and trained to safely transport residents.
This program helps Fairfield Glade newcomers feel welcomed to their new home during their first 6-months of residency.
Volunteers visit the homes of newcomers offering a variety of information including local businesses, area agencies, and entertainment opportunities. The colorful gift bag includes gift cards and maps.
Also, a folder has emergency numbers, community resources, important phone numbers, places of worship, a club list, volunteer ideas and a restaurant section.
