Program Overview: Our volunteers can assess and make recommendations to improve the safety of your home. The homeowner is responsible to pay for materials, and FGRS will perform the work with volunteer labor. Our goal is to allow residents to continue to safely live in their homes, by providing the skills and talents of volunteers. FGRS cannot assist those who are in rental homes.

Examples of What We Do:
 

• Grab bars around the toilet

• Grab bars in the tub or shower

• Secure handrails on stairs

• Install ramps at entrance doors

• Install handrails at entrance doors and more where needed, both inside and outside your home
