Happy New Year!
At FGRS we hope you have a wonderful year ahead and we would be honored if you shared it with us. Our organization is made up of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about helping residents of Fairfield Glade get the most out of their lives here and help them stay in their homes for as long as they wish. We believe that aging in place is an important aspect of maintaining a high quality of life, which is why we offer a variety of services to assist residents in their later years. Our services begin with educating residents about life in Fairfield Glade and continue with transition services to help them deal with the challenges of aging. As volunteers, we are committed to providing these services with compassion and care, and we would be delighted to have you join us in our efforts to support our community.

We provide a number of services designed to help with life in this community.

Caring Connections - These volunteers help where needed to assist older folks with socialization. As you know, there are a number of older folks that rarely get out and see other people. We help with that.

Way To Go Transportation - This service helps people get about for day-to-day needs. Doctor appointments, groceries, hair dos, etc. They need drivers to help.

Welcome Home - This service welcomes new residents with a bag full of information about what is here and around here.

Vial Of Life - We provide the Upper Cumberland County and Fairfield Glade residents with a handy way to have vital health information in places where emergency services people can find it.

Home Safety Assistance - This group of volunteers can help with the install of grab bars, access ramps, and such to help with home safety
These are programs that have been offered to the community for years and need a few volunteers to help supplement the current crews providing these services.
But that is not all:
We need back-office people. We need the following:

Volunteer Coordinator - A person that can make sure of a consistent flow of new volunteers for various programs and functions.

Writers and graphics producers - We need people that can work with others to produce email blasts (such as this one), newspaper articles, Facebook post, and work in sync with our publicity plans.

Event planners - We hold a number of events each year and we need people that will help plan and coordinate these events.

Fundraisers - There are a number of potential area sponsors that need to be tapped for donations to FGRS and various programs.

One last thing.
FGRS is a volunteer organization. We get no funds from Fairfield Glade Community Club or governmental organizations. All funds come from donations, grants, or gifts from sponsors. Your dollars are a vital part of our funding. So, any donations would be appreciated.
