Blood Pressure Screening

Fairfield Glade Resident Services (FGRS) sponsors FREE weekly blood pressure screenings on Thursdays at the Village Green Mall, 126 Stonehenge Drive, between the hours of 10:00am-12:00 noon. A dedicated group of retired nurses volunteer their time and skills to staff the weekly screenings. Given its impact upon personal health, measuring blood pressure accurately and consistently is very important. Residents are encouraged to share blood pressure results with their health care provider(s).
Safety in the home and transportation to medical appointments is also critical to health, and information is available at the weekly clinics regarding two additional FGRS programs: 1) The Home Safety Assistance Program offers installation of grab bars, rails and ramps, and 2) The Way to Go! Program has volunteers who provide transportation to medical appointments in Crossville and Cookeville, as well as local rides for non-medical needs.
